This week was a interesting one. We were without a bake (truck) until Friday so we walked... a lot. We had to get out to Koalabata, one of the farthest regions in our area twice. It kinda cut down our productivity but otherwise it wasn't too bad.
We have been having a lot of water and power outages this week but we've been making due with that as well.
We met as a zone to plan some Christmas service projects and this Saturday we went to help a couple people in Masianokeng with their large gardens. I wish I would've taken before and after pictures because I don't know if I've ever pulled so many weeds in my life. It was definitely worth it though.
With exception of the sunburns, its beginning to feel more like Christmas. We are also going to go caroling tomorrow morning with the zone and then we will be having an early Christmas party with all the Lesotho missionaries. We also had some baptisms yesterday. Thankfully the water was on so we didn't have to do bucket squad again. Hlompho is the guy in the pictures. We've been working with him to overcome some smoking problems for the last few months and he has now overcome them through the teachings of Jesus Christ, his Atonement, and a bit of nagging from us missionaries haha. He is probably one of my favorite people I've taught. The other two are Mamabela and Malebona, the mother and sister of Mabela who was baptised close to 2 months ago. It is amazing to see their whole family united in purpose and focusing on their promise with God to keep his commandments and take upon them the name of Christ. I can definitely feel the love in their home everytime we see them.
Until next week,
Elder Hinnen
